TECADUR PLASTIC MATERIAL & MACHINING
EXCEPTIONALLY TOUGH AND OPTICALLY CLEAR COPOLYESTER
Tecadur refers to the family of high performance engineering plastics that include a variety of grades with different properties depending on the product's purpose. Each grade is specific to certain applications, some suiting more specialized purposes than others available. These range from polyamides (PAs), polyoxymethylenes (POMs), and polyethylene terephthalates (PETs), and others.
The one we most commonly see is Tecadur MT-TR, a co-polyester often used in the medical, pharma, and chemical technology industries. This tough plastic is impact-resistant, chemical-resistant, and radiation-resistant. It also maintains its clarity after gamma radiation and e-beam sterilization.
